So, it is a new year and the TV and Internet are full of ways you can transform yourself in 30, 60 or 90 days. I am tired of seeing all the ads, though, because I tried different programs and they didn't deliver. Does that mean I shouldn't try to eat better, drink more water or exercise more?
No, but it does mean I can do some self-examination and see what changes I made that worked. If I look back at what my eating habits were ten years ago, I see that I eat a lot more "clean" foods now, and fewer processed ones. And I used to think that if I exercised three times a week, that was enough. Now I get some exercise about every day, even if it is just walking a mile or two.
These changes happened as I got more educated about nutrition, and found that the more exercise I got the better I felt and the more energy I had. Also, I became friends with a bunch of fun people who love to work out together and they encouraged me to work out with them. It is amazing the difference it can make when you have people that expect to see you at yoga, or a strength training class!
What if you found a place that encouraged you to get stronger and more agile in a safe way? A place that believes Yoga is for Every Body, not just the twenty somethings that look great in leggings? That is what yoga is all about at Clear Rock Fitness. No quick fixes, and no competition with anyone except yourself.
